At Tiny Legends, our learning approach is rooted in the belief that every child is a capable and unique individual, deserving of a nurturing and inclusive environment that supports their sense of belonging and wonder. We are committed to creating calm, thoughtfully curated spaces where children feel safe, heard, and empowered to guide their own learning journey. Embracing a slow and intentional approach, we value the importance of building genuine, trusting relationships with both children and their families, recognising that meaningful learning happens when strong connections are in place. Our educators act as co-learners, carefully observing and engaging with children to provide responsive experiences that spark curiosity, creativity, and sensory exploration. We see the environment as a powerful "third teacher," designed to inspire and provoke deeper thinking, while our strong ties to the community enrich our curriculum and foster a sense of cultural respect and inclusivity. Through open communication and collaborative partnerships, we support every child in developing a lifelong love of learning.

Our Kindergarten Approved Program
At Tiny Legends, our approved Kindergarten Program is designed to feel like a natural extension of home—nurturing, familiar, and filled with meaningful opportunities for learning and growth. Guided by the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines and delivered by qualified early childhood teachers, our program supports each child to develop a strong sense of identity and belonging in a warm, supportive environment.
Through inquiry-based, play-driven experiences, children are encouraged to follow their curiosity, express their ideas, and explore the world around them. This approach fosters deep connections with peers, educators, and their surroundings, nurturing a sense of connectedness and community. We prioritise each child’s wellbeing—emotionally, socially, and physically—while promoting active learning that builds creativity, problem-solving, and resilience.
In our thoughtfully designed Kindergarten classroom, children are invited to investigate, role play, and communicate with confidence, building the essential skills they’ll carry with them well beyond their early years.
Bush/Beach Kindy at Tiny Legends
Each week, our Kindergarten children venture beyond the centre to take part in our unique Bush and Beach Kindy programs — immersive outdoor learning experiences that celebrate the beauty of both the bushland and the coastline that surround us. These sessions offer children the opportunity to slow down, explore at their own pace, and build meaningful connections with the natural world through unstructured, play-based discovery.

At Bush Kindy, children are encouraged to be curious, creative, and resilient as they collect leaves, observe insects, and notice the subtle changes in the seasons. Meanwhile, Beach Kindy invites them to discover the wonders of the shoreline — feeling the sand between their toes, searching for shells and driftwood, watching tiny crabs scuttle along the rocks, and exploring the patterns left by the tide.

With no fixed outcomes, both experiences are guided by the children’s interests, fostering imagination, confidence, and a deep respect for Country and the diverse environments that surround us.
